What You’ll Be Doing as a Plumber?
As a Plumber at BPM Contracting Services, you will utilise your skills to complete first and second fix plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs on domestic properties, coordinating closely with the Contract Manager to understand assigned jobs and deliver exceptional customer service through diligent work according to all regulatory standards, maintaining thorough records, and showing high attention to detail to ensure that all plumbing systems pass inspection on the initial try.
Plumbing jobs in Chippenham often require leak detection and repair work. One recent job saw a bathroom issue resolved.
The plumber was assigned to investigate water ingress reported in a wetroom ceiling. Upon a thorough inspection, the cause was suspected to originate from either the waste outlet or floor seal.
Careful testing traced the source to a compromised seal around the wetroom floor. The tradesman set to resealing all at-risk joins to reinforce barriers against moisture.
With the bottom outlet also presenting signs of wear, repairs were conducted to reinforce the drain connection. Fresh lubricant ensured a robust seal during pressure trials.
Post-works checks revealed no further sign of the prior issue. The customer was provided a prompt solution, restoring fully waterproof facilities through skilled fault diagnosis and remediation.

What We’re Looking for in a Plumber
- NVQ 2/3 or equivalent experience in Plumbing.
- Experience with carpentry, roofing or minor glazing would be highly beneficial.
- An up-to-date CSCS card and CRB check are preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong work ethic and positive mindset.
- Drive to be successful.
- Problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
- Valid, clean UK driving licence (a company vehicle is provided for this position).
- Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance is required.
