What You’ll Be Doing as a Multi-Trade Operative?
As a Multi-Trade operative at BPM Contracting Services, your day-to-day jobs will be varied. Utilising your trades experience, you will provide high-quality services and exceptional customer service on domestic and commercial properties. This includes repairs, maintenance, refurbishments, and renovations.
Multi-trade jobs in Bristol often involve responsive maintenance tasks. A recent project saw the removal of a hazardous object.
The operatives received a request to attend a property and remove a protruding metal bar and its concrete base located by the front steps. Upon arriving, they assessed the situation and began work.
As the report indicated, the bar posed a safety risk due to its position at toddler height. So the team got to work breaking up the large concrete foundation buried underground with the bar.
Their efforts required two workers given the weight of the solid base. Once fragmented, all debris was safely lifted away and discarded of.
Inspections found the area was now clear and presented no further hazards. The prompt response helped ensure the property remained secure for residents.

What We’re Looking for in a Multi-Trade Operative
- NVQ 2/3 or equivalent experience in Carpentry, Building, or a similar field.
- Experience with roofing or minor glazing would be highly beneficial.
- An up-to-date CSCS card and CRB check are preferred but not essential.
- Experience with domestic and commercial properties is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong work ethic and positive mindset.
- Drive to be successful.
- Problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
- Valid, clean UK driving licence (a company vehicle is provided for this position).
- Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance is required.
