What You’ll Be Doing as a Gas Engineer?
As a Gas Engineer for BPM Contracting Services, your responsibilities will include using your ACS qualifications to conduct gas fault finding, annual servicing, and installations at various residential and commercial sites while ensuring high quality safety standards.
Gas engineer jobs in Yate regularly involve maintenance of domestic water systems. A recent inspection at a Sanctuary Housing home provided a learning opportunity.
The gas engineer was asked to assess work needed for a new water boiler pipework installation in the kitchenette. Upon arrival, a thorough examination of the space was conducted.
Careful attention was paid to determining optimal pipe routing and component positions. Notes were made on materials required, such as copper tubing, fittings and valves.
A quotation will be prepared outlining the full scope of tasks. These include safely isolating water supplies, installing the new piping, and properly reconnecting the boiler with all joints tested.
Final tasks involve refilling and balancing the system before detailed inspection and validation.
For those interested in entering the profession, gas engineer jobs in Yate offer chances to shadow experienced workers. Observing assessment skills like planning and considering regulatory/access issues readies new professionals. Providing excellent client service through factual quotes is also part of the role. Overall, such responsive works provide invaluable opportunities to continuously learn on the job.
