What You’ll Be Doing as a Carpenter?
As a Carpenter, your responsibilities will encompass using your carpentry expertise to complete an assortment of carpentry duties each day such as performing major carpentry works for new constructions and refurbishment projects, installing trim, flooring and cabinets while providing high-quality customer service on residential and commercial properties.

They were called out to inspect an issue where the threshold between carpeted and wooden flooring in Bristol had raised up, creating a bump. This was causing people to trip and getting caught on wheelchair and buggy wheels.
To resolve the problem, the carpenter carefully examined the site of the bump. As a skilled carpenter, they determined the best solution was to pinch the raised threshold back down to the proper level.
Low-profile screws were used to carefully and securely pull the threshold down. This eliminated the trip point and allowed for a smooth transition between flooring types.
Upon completion, the work area was double checked. By flattening the bump, the carpenter left the area solid and safe to use. No more tripping risks for residents!

What We're Looking for in a Carpenter
- NVQ 2/3 or equivalent experience in Carpentry.
- An up-to-date CSCS card and CRB check are preferred but not essential.
- Experience with domestic and commercial properties is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Strong work ethic and positive mindset.
- Drive to be successful.
- Problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
- Valid, clean UK driving licence (a company vehicle is provided for this position).
- Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance is required.
