What You’ll Be Doing as a Gas Engineer?
As a Gas Engineer for BPM Contracting Services, your responsibilities will include using your ACS qualifications to conduct gas fault finding, annual servicing, and installations at various residential and commercial sites while ensuring high quality safety standards.
Gas engineer jobs in Keynsham often involve important safety checks and installations. A recent project saw a gas safety inspection and detector fitting carried out for SG Homes.
The gas engineer was tasked with performing the mandatory annual gas safety check at a property. Using specialised equipment, each appliance and flue was methodically examined for operational issues and gas leaks.
Temporary disconnection of cookers allowed thorough scrutiny of pipework and fittings. Carbon monoxide levels throughout the home were also monitored as an added precaution.
As the inspection wrapped up, it was noted the property currently lacked recommended detection. To remedy this, the gas engineer carefully fitted a new plug-in carbon monoxide alarm in the main bedroom area.
Proper positioning and wiring connections ensured correct operation. A gas safety certificate was provided once all checks and necessary documentation were complete.
For those wanting hands-on experience maintaining safety, gas engineer jobs in Keynsham with BPM offer projects benefiting clients like SG Homes. Through comprehensive inspections and installs, trainees can develop must-have skills in code compliance, gas leak identification and life saving device installation. Responding to clients’ needs while advancing one's skillset makes each workday engaging and worthwhile.
