Sanctuary Housing formed over 50 years ago and are one of the UK’s leading housing providers. Employing over 13,000 people and providing in excess of 105,000 homes from general social housing to care homes and supported living to student accommodation. Their mission is to build affordable homes and sustainable communities where people choose to live.

The scope of the contract includes electrical repairs, roofing, kitchen and bathroom repairs and upgrades, repairs following leaks, window and door repair and replacements, flooring, wet-rooms, repair of infrastructure for nursing homes and sheltered accommodation, emergency call outs, street lighting and more.

What We Provided:

Following a successful tender bid, BPM Contracting Services became the primary contractor for Sanctuary Housing for two of their geographical areas in the South and South West. The area covered is from Aldershot and Guildford in the East to Portsmouth and Southampton in the South, Weston-Super-Mare in the West and Cheltenham in the North.

BPM are perfectly set up to deal with the wide variety and volume of work this contract required. With an office in Bath and satellite centres in Basingstoke, Southampton and Cheltenham and a highly trained multiskilled workforce BPM has an operative never more than 40 minutes from any of our customers locations.

BPM have experienced operatives across trades. All of our tradesmen and woman are trained and developed to be multi-trade operatives and all staff selected for their personal qualities enabling the team to deliver the highest possible rate of first-time fixes which is a high priority for Sanctuary. It also helps us to provide a flexible and high-quality service.

We have a fleet of new ULEZ vans which include a current level of 10% fully electric ensuring we are able to service a wide geographical area in an environmentally responsible way. This along with our satellite centres keeps mileage to a minimum and keeps the environmental impact of the mileage we do to a minimum. BPM are further working to running a 100% zero emissions (100% EV) fleet by 2027. Sustainability is one of Sanctuary’s key values.

The contract is managed by a highly experienced contract manager who has worked on a variety of housing association contracts and has extensive leadership skills. We have a programme of continuous development for our managers, administrators and trades which helps us to provide the highest standard of service for our customer.
